For about me 2.jpg

JP Fabri is an economist with two decades of experience working across government, international institutions, and financial innovation. He began his career at the Central Bank of Malta, before serving as Economist and Speechwriter to the former Prime Minister of Malta, where he shaped economic communication during major global and regional crises.

He later developed the governance and resilience assessment framework adopted by the Commonwealth Secretariat, leading missions across the Caribbean, Pacific, and Indian Ocean. His advisory work spans national employment strategies, productivity reports, impact and evaluation studies, regulatory reforms, and major infrastructure projects through Seed, where he is a founding partner.

JP is also an experienced non-executive director in regulated financial services. He has held board roles in electronic money, payments, fund administration, and insurance companies. His work covers regulatory remediation, risk governance, digital transformation, and oversight of strsategic transformation.

As a co-founder, he has launched ventures that are helping Africa’s financial and climate resilience landscape: TapSeed, MyUbuntu, a Lloyd’s Lab–recognised insuretech and ParametricMatters.

JP is also Malta’s Ambassador to Small States and Islands and the Chair of the Malta Hub of the Commowealth Economic and Investment Council.

A regular commentator and international speaker on applied economics, Africa’s development, payments, and inclusive insurance, he is also the author of Soulful Insurance, a manifesto to restore purpose and humanity to protection systems.

Above all, JP is the father of two boys, Pippo and Gege, who ground his commitment to building better systems for the next generation.
